Humorous Dark Flash Fiction: The Cheese Makers

This piece of humorous dark flash fiction was written for Menage Monday, perhaps the last one I’ll participate in since I am far too competitive. The situation is a ghost talking to an angel. The link explains more. Thanks for reading and enjoy!
She held her head in her hands and sighed as a downy feather drifted from the angel who stood before her. She never knew God’s first creation could babble on, but she was grateful for his idle prater since it kept Death at bay. She shifted her gaze at the dark figure, now looking at his wrist as though he wore a watch. She cleared her throat and tugged on the angel’s robe with a sweet smile, though she couldn’t take her eyes off the manifestation of human demise tapping his foot. “Excuse me, could you tell me about the cheese makers again?”
“Ah yes, blessed are the cheese makers. . .” The angel spun on his heel and started to prattle on again as she smirked at Death. The dark figure sighed and slumped his shoulders as he waited for the holy messenger to stop talking. It was a good thing she loved cheese.
