Dark Poetry: Bloody Dark Garden

This dark poem was written in a very dark moment in my day as the storm clouds linger over my house today. I hope this piece can give you a moment to think as well. Thanks for reading and enjoy.
The vast expanse of my dark heart echoes the patter
Crimson rain with azure lightning caresses my bleak heavens
Bloody flowers drip false white lies on the ground
Leaving a puddle of unattended hope slowly fading
As the relentless power of life washes it away
My head is heavy with the hangover of regret
Skin tingles, heart cloudy, reactions dim
Washed with what might have been, what could be
Demanding the evil lord in my skull would stop
Placing my body in precarious positions
Our grip on this bright world is fragile and timid
The gods, fate, the angels watch us with fascination
While our humanity gives us ego, humiliation, death
We must learn to temper them with experience
Or you will be lost in my bloody dark garden
