Triumphant Poetry: The Steady Pace

Jan
17

This triumphant poem was written a day after I had another piece announced that it was published. I look forward to the reaction from that piece as well as this one. Thanks for reading and enjoy!

The returning feeling of conquering worlds
My steady march across the vast landmass
There is no one to stop me except myself
While I carry the banner of the sun
The eagles of war soar over my head

The steady pace carries on toward victory
My ever changing conditions met with ease
Discipline, structure, order secures the day
Watching barriers and obstacles fail
Leaving my mark on those before me

March, great wordsmith, march
There is no denying you this night
The words are as wheat to your scythe
Weave them to make your verbal painting known
The craft shall soon praise your ingenious efforts

Then it is off to battle once more…
