I am not sure why weddings are on my mind when it comes to these dark pieces of flash fiction, but it certainly seems like it means something. Thanks for reading and enjoy!

She felt the butterflies in her stomach as she took the final step off the staircase. The color rushed to her cheeks as she could feel the thousands of eyes staring at her, watching her every step. She chewed on her bottom lip as she walked toward the man waiting for her with open arms. She frowned as she looked at this thick frame and pock marked face, sighing at the receding hairline and the pathetic excuse for facial hair. “Lets get this wedding over with. The sooner I can drink, the faster I can forget this day even happened.”
