Dark Poetry: Your Faith Is Misplaced

Jan
09

This piece of dark poetry was written on my way to work while I was mentally railing against my situation. I am much better now (I think). Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Your faith is misplaced in me
I’ve nothing to do with your desires
The blackest pit of your communicating
Releases dark demons of animosity
Creating the hell you complain about

Your faith is misplaced in me
You have plans for my existence
What makes you believe you will win
When those more valiant, well spoken
Failed to corral me before

Your faith is misplaced in me
The trappings of men are not mine
I crave the outlet of weaving the tale
My time on this planet is limited
I shall not squander it on your lies

Your faith is nonexistent in me
The way it should be, as it always was
