James knew the burning in his stomach meant something worse than indigestion. He looked at the bottle that he found in the storage unit and saw the translucent green slime at the bottom. He turned to his companion wide-eyed and started to sputter as he fell to one knee. His companion laughed, shook his head, and pressed a shotgun against James’ head. “You really should watch what you drink, Jimmy. Water is scares, but common sense is rare.”

James smiled at the burned man threating his life. “As long as I don’t turn into a freak like you, Bobby.”
