Classic Poetry: Seven Deadly Sins

My classic sinful poetry that started this all, the Seven Deadly Sins. I bundled them all to a list of a lover scorned. I look at it now and wonder how it could be better, but I should leave it untouched for posterity. Enjoy!

I am envious of you
Your ability to do
Whatever it is you want
While I suffer your slings

I am greedy with you
You give me a little
And yet I want more
Only because you offer it

I am gluttonous for you
The deep hunger I feel
Not through bread and water
But the soul filled affection

I am slothful with you
You comfort me unknowingly
And protect yourself from me
Even though you don’t know

I am prideful about you
I talk to the others
Telling them the great things
You have done for me

I am lustful for you
My head fills with thoughts
My heart races and burns
With the fires of desire

I am wrathful about you
You spurn my honest advances
Ignore my love with peril
I will make sure no one else can…
